I’ve made many trips to Sri Lanka over the years. They’ve suffered many hardships, civil war, tsunami, lack of tourism due to covid, travel restrictions, shortages. Lengthy powercuts, curfews and a government that cared more about itself than it’s people.

Yet every time I have visited the people as a whole have remained positive & friendly. I hope the images do some justice, in this gallery, to show just some of the lovely people I met & chatted with as I travelled through this amazing country of vibrant traditions, diverse culture, delicious food, endless fauna and flora with great fun surf. I can’t wait to go back and I truly hope that for the people of Sri Lanka that life brings them all the warmth that they give to those passing through.

I should stress that I have travelled through Sri Lanka with my family and haven’t felt at risk or in danger at all and nothing would deter me from visiting this amazing island which has so much to offer.
